Pretty Good LLC (“Pretty Good,” “Bonafide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides software for wineries and other beverage-alcohol businesses. This Privacy Policy applies to the Bonafide website, Admin, point-of-sale application (“POS”), hosted storefronts, and related support and platform services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Our role
We act as a business or controller for information about our prospective customers, winery operators, staff users, and website visitors. When a winery or other customer uses Bonafide to manage information about its own customers, we generally act as that customer’s service provider or processor. In that situation, the winery controls the information and requests concerning it should usually be directed to the winery first.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account and identity information, such as name, email address, telephone number, login credentials, role, permissions, and organization membership.
- Business information, such as winery, tasting-room, fulfillment, tax, catalog, inventory, and staff details.
- Customer and transaction information, such as customer contact details, age-verification status, orders, club membership, shipping and billing addresses, purchase history, discounts, tips, refunds, and payment status. Card details are handled by payment providers; we do not generally receive or store a full payment-card number.
- Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, pages or features used, timestamps, diagnostics, crash details, and interaction events.
- Location and nearby-device information, when you grant permission and a feature requires it, such as discovering and connecting to a supported payment reader. We do not use this information for advertising.
- Communications, including support requests, feedback, waitlist submissions, and email or text-message preferences.
We collect information directly from you, from the business that provides your account, automatically from your device or browser, and from service providers and integrations you or the business choose to use.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
- authenticate users, manage permissions, and prevent fraud or misuse;
- process orders, payments, taxes, shipping, fulfillment, communications, and related business workflows;
- respond to support requests and send operational messages;
- understand feature usage and service performance;
- comply with alcohol, tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations; and
- send product or marketing communications where permitted, subject to your choices.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose information only as reasonably needed to operate the Services, honor customer instructions, complete a transaction, protect the Services, or comply with law. Recipients may include:
- The business using Bonafide, including authorized staff and service partners designated by that business.
- Infrastructure and security providers, including Cloudflare and Turso/libSQL.
- Payment providers, including Stripe.
- Shipping and fulfillment providers, including Shippo and carriers selected for an order.
- Communications providers, including Resend and, when text messaging is enabled, Twilio.
- Analytics and diagnostics providers, including Google Tag Manager/Google Analytics, Amplitude, Sentry-compatible monitoring, and Better Stack. The providers used vary by Service.
- Platform and distribution providers, such as Apple and Expo, when needed to deliver or support a mobile application.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or a successor organization when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, a corporate transaction, or the protection of rights and safety.
These providers may process information only for the services they supply to us or as otherwise permitted by law. Their own terms and privacy notices may also apply when you interact with them directly.
5. Sale, sharing, and advertising
We do not sell personal information or use end-customer data for third-party advertising. Bonafide is not configured to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Before introducing any such practice, we would update this policy and provide any notice and choices required by law. We use analytics to understand and improve our own website and Services.
We do not share mobile telephone information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share it with subcontractors that support services such as customer service. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Cookies, analytics, and privacy signals
Our website and Services may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and diagnostics. On withbonafide.com, we do not load analytics when the browser sends a supported Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track” signal. Browser or device controls can also limit cookies, permissions, and certain SDK activity, although disabling necessary storage may prevent parts of the Services from working.
7. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including to provide an active account, fulfill customer instructions, maintain security and audit records, and meet legal, tax, alcohol-regulatory, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Retention varies by category: account and operational records generally remain while the account is active; transaction and compliance records may be kept longer when law or legitimate business needs require it; diagnostics and analytics are kept according to configured provider retention periods. We delete, de-identify, or restrict information when it is no longer needed, subject to backup cycles and legal obligations.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, tenant-scoped access, monitoring, and service-provider review. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You may update certain account details in the Services, change browser or device permissions, opt out of optional marketing using the message’s unsubscribe instructions, and withdraw optional permissions through your device settings. Withdrawing a permission may disable the related feature but does not affect processing already completed lawfully.
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to know about, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to appeal or object to certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. To make a request, email support@prettygood.pro with the subject “Privacy request.” We may verify your identity and authority before completing a request. If your information belongs to a winery account, we may direct the request to that winery or assist it in responding.
10. Children and alcohol-related services
Bonafide is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Alcohol purchases and other age-restricted activities remain subject to the merchant’s age-verification duties and applicable law.
11. International processing
We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version here, revise the “Last updated” date, and provide additional notice when required. We review this policy at least annually.
